Who on earth is Timbuk2Stu?!
Stu here! By day, I’m just a regular guy, blending into the London city grind – another friendly face in the office elevator. But by night, I transform into my adventurous alter ego – Timbuk2Stu!
A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to live and work in South Korea, opened my eyes and heart to the world in a way I could not have even grasped previously, which left me well and truly bitten by the metaphorical travel bug. Its bite left me infected with “dromomania” – the uncontrollable urge to do more travel!
My escapades have since taken me across all 6 continents (fully inhabitable), seeing 50% of the world in the process – at 100+ countries and counting – whilst witnessing over 80% of the world’s wonders in the flesh.
Experiences are life. So, whether it’s seeing the Saharan sun rise, or tucking into a tiffin of Indian Dal at the Taj Mahal, I will continue my quest of zipping between continents, chasing sunsets and stories to share with you all, my fellow Timbuk2Stu-ers.
Has Timbuk2Stu Been to Timbuktu?
Ironically, not yet! I must mosey on down to Mali one day, and gasp at the 3 Great mud-brick Mosques of Timbuktu. However, in this case, Timbuktu is simply being used as a common metaphor – describing an incredibly distant place, equally hard to reach. As the famous saying goes… “from here to Timbuktu”. Although, if you have actually been, or even better if you are from Timbuktu itself, then I for one would love to hear from you!
